New Logo, New Location:
Interim Office/Gallery Opens
The interim location of the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum has opened its doors to the public. Located at 701 Rogers Avenue, this temporary office is across from the Holiday Inn. There is limited metered parking in front of the building, but we recommend that visitors park in the public parking near the civics center and walk the block to the office.
The gift gallery is currently out of commission during the transition to the new museum, but visitors can look foward to an impressive selection from the permanent collection - pieces by your favorite local artists, renown international artists and more can be seen for free during office hours.
Feel free call ahead before you drop by to make sure we aren't out running errands or grabbing lunch. Stop by during your lunch break or after hours on Thursday, and be sure to add us on Facebook for updates on events and news.

Art in the Park: 10th Anniversary
September 30-October 1 & 2
The tenth annual Art in the Park event will be held at the Fort Smith River Park. Guests can look forward to arts, crafts, accessories, gourmet food, entertainment and more! This year's featured artist is Jerry Ricketson.

Big Changes on the Way for RAM
In a once in a lifetime gift, Arvest Bank has donated a 15,000 sq. ft. building strategically located just before Garrison Avenue in downtown Fort Smith.
Formerly Superior Bank, the 1601 Rogers Avenue building is a distinctive piece of architecture, soon to be remodeled into a striking museum that meets national standards and can better accommodate Fort Smith Regional Art Museum's needs.
This new museum will be climate-controlled and equipped to facilitate traveling exhibits and have ample space to display the museum's permanent collection. A spacious community room is planned where education programs and activities can flourish.
Accordingly, the Fort Smith Art Center is in an exciting transition to be reborn as the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum - "RAM" for short!
